The Grain Train Natural Foods Grocery and the Blissfest Music Organization have teamed up to create the BlissTrain. Every Sunday afternoon musicians gather at the Train and share songs in a relaxed format. Each participant can share songs with others and there is often a big sing-a-long that develops.

Round Robin Format

This has been a great learning format. We get turned on to a lot of music that is fun to play and it helps add to everyone's repertoire

1. Song Lead is passed from participant to participant usually clockwise

2. Song leader selects song or tune. They can choose to do a solo perhaps to introduce a song they wrote. If it has a simply cord progression, they may choose to allow additional help from selected individuals or the entire group. The key is communicating about the song and how to make it a group experience if the whole group is invited in. Group members can also ask if they can add to a song.

3. Tips:
a. Listen while you play. Look for queues from the song leader. Song leaders should try to queue the other players especially regarding lead work.

b. Control your instrument volume especially when vocals are being sung

4. Players who join the group during the round robin will be added to the rotation on the next round.
