Job Description and Role

1. Location: Concert Area Red & White Striped Tent

2. Hours: Friday 4pm-Midnight, Saturday 10AM- 1AM, Sunday 10AM-11pm

General Volunteer Information:
Soon after you arrive at the Blissfest, you must check in at the Volunteer Booth to confirm your assignment and pick up your voucher card and. After you have completed each shift, you will need to have your coordinator sign the voucher card. After both shifts are completed, go to the Volunteer Booth to get refund. Refunds are available Saturday or Sunday.

Job Profile: Come to the Bliss Store 15 mins. prior to your shift for orientation. The Merchandise/ T-Shirt Booth and the Artist's CD Booth are under the same tent but are operated as separate stores. The each with their own cash and cash registers. Staff need to keep this in mind so as not to intermingle funds. Your role is to basically run a retail store. This includes positive customer relations, stocking, marketing, organization and accuracy with money.

1. Review prices and layout of the items for sale: shirts, tapes, CD's, etc. Help keep the shirts and tapes organized. Shirts will be hanging on racks and customers will circulate in a section of the tent and select their own shirt. Staff will circulate, assist and take payment.

2. Have checks made payable to Blissfest. We have the ability to accept Visa/MC cards. Coordinators will train you in on this too as necessary.

3. Blissfest Music Organization. members receive a 10% discount on Festival T-Shirts and on the Blissfest audio and Video tapes only. They should have a card and a membership list will be available. People interested in becoming members should be directed to the Volunteer/Membership Booth

4. Musician's  CD's- Coordinators in the CD part of the Blissfest Store are responsible for checking in the inventory from the various artists. The inventory form needs to be filled out and signed by both parties. Include each title , quantity, and amount they are selling it for. Blissfest will be assessing a 10% commission fee for selling these items when the artists check out. Coordinators will use a cash out at the end of the fest or the director will use a check to pay the artists

5. If someone needs to use a phone, let them know that the new cell phone tower in the area may now allow them to use their cell phone. In case of an emergency, direct them to the security booth or assist with radio contact to Blissfest Dispatch or call 911 on a cell phone.

6. All folks distributing flyers and other information from other festivals etc. should be directed down to the volunteer/info booth. They have a brochure rack there.

7. Coordinators are given a complimentary $15 Coupon that can be used towards a Blissfest T-Shirt, Blissfest CD or other Blissfest merchandize.

8. Volunteers do not get refunds at the Blissfest Store. Volunteer Deposit Refunds are only available at the Volunteer Booth.

The Volunteer and Raffle booth will handle Memberships, Mailing List, raffle and any volunteer questions. The Volunteer and Raffle booths are located between the main stage and second stage towards the barn.
