Blissfest Coordinators
Job Description and Role
Area Coordinators—Many long-time volunteers become Area Coordinators and work a minimum of 16 hrs. during the festival and usually more. They help to train, coordinate operations and assist the volunteers in their area. They also provide some planning help and advice prior to the festival and often arrive early to help with set-up. Most area coordinators have communication radios and all are identified by a Blissfest name badge lanyard. There are many areas of operation in order to keep the Blissfest community running smoothly over the weekend. Just think of putting a small city together for a weekend and consider all the services and details that would be required.
BlissAssist Coordinators: More experience and training are required for
BlissAssist Coordinators. Skills in conflict resolution, problem solving, crisis
intervention and leadership are acquired and conveyed to other volunteers.
These individuals are also a critical link in the management of the event and

Radio Dispatch and our professional security team (Grams Security). BlissAssist
coordinators are also radio trained, wear the BlissAssist shirt and are also
identified by a Blissfest name badge. This position requires a minimum 16 hr.
work commitment.
