Northern Michigan features year round recreational and cultural tourism at its finest. The natural environment offers Lake Michigan with its sand beaches and boating opportunities. The rolling fields and the Hardwood State Forest with beautiful vistas and trails that are great for hiking. One of the best swimming beaches in the state is nearby at Sturgeon Bay along Lake Michigan 5miles north of the Festival Farm. Tourist and resort facilities are nearby in Mackinaw City, Harbor Springs and Petoskey. Modern camping facilities are available at Wilderness State Park (15 miles) and Petoskey State Park (20 miles).
