Attention
all Blissfest volunteers!
The Blissfest
depends on the talents & commitment of you folks who are so balanced
& versatile that you can work a little and have a lot of fun at the
Blissfest. July 7-9, 2006 is
our 26th annual festival and we are planning another great show!
Here's
the lowdown on becoming a Bliss Volunteer for festival '06.
- Volunteers work 8 hours total generally
split into 2-
4hour shifts in exchange for a weekend ticket. Pre-fest setup and
Post-fest cleanup volunteers are required to provide 12 hrs. total. Note:
There are so many folks who want to work pre-fest that these coveted
position are by invitation only. We really need your help during the
festival folks.
- If this is your 1st year
a $65 (nonmember)/ $50 (member) deposit is required. If you are
a volunteer in good standing year 2nd year deposits are $25.
A good standing volunteer after the third year pays
no deposit.
- We try to meet your
needs about times and assignments, so please be specific on your
application.
- Please fill out the form
COMPLETELY! Including past experience and if you'd like to return to
that work area. ----If you are interested in BlissAssist Campground
Monitoring please note any experience with conflict resolution,
security protocol, or radio communication. BlissAssist requires
experience
- When we receive your
application and deposit we will schedule you and send you a packet of
information containing your work assignment, job description, code of
conduct, and your weekend ticket. Camping is not included and
costs $17/weekend overnight vehicle advanced or $20 at the gate. We suggest that you reserve a camping spot as they
are limited.
- Please read everything
in your packet. It tells you what you will be doing and how to
get your deposit back.
- Online applications will
only be accepted until July 1st.Fill out the Volunteer

- Print out an
application. Mail applications accepted until June 15th. Print out the
Volunteer Application Form and send it to Blissfest
- If you are looking for

- Area Coordinators, 2 or
more per area, share the duties of smooth shift changes, orienting
volunteers, reporting to the volunteer booth & volunteer
coordinator any additional shift needs, and signing volunteer shift
cards AFTER the shifts are completed.
- Coordinators generally
split the weekend up so they each have off duty time to enjoy the
festival. They typically work a minimum of 16 hours but often more.
These are jobs for folks who want to really be part of the Blissfest
Community of Workers and Organizers who make this festival one of the
best.
- Coordinators receive 2
weekend tickets, a t-shirt voucher, food and beverage hospitality
pass, and an invitation to the Monday night Survivor's Potluck Dinner.
- The majority of your
work is done at the festival, some pre-fest planning & post fest cleanup
are also required for most areas.
- The Blissfest Volunteer
Training and Policy manual is a helpful reference and provides a
wealth of information for volunteers and coordinators. It is now
on-line at Blissfest Training Manual
