Dear Friends,
After thoughtful consideration, we are heartbroken to share that the Blissfest Music Festival is once again canceled due to the pandemic’s ongoing circumstances. It was a difficult and unanimous decision by the Blissfest Board of Directors. Who would have ever thought we would have canceled the festival for two years in a row? As disappointing as this is, it’s temporary; the annual festival that we all cherish will be back.
For rollover information, please see the FAQ on our website. All rollovers will be honored for the 2022 festival. The new dates are July 8, 9, and 10, 2022. If you are unable to join us next year, you may rollover to a date of your choice or cash equivalent for any Blissfest purchases. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
We’re grateful for your understanding and patience as we get through this next year. We miss you and eagerly await when we can have you join us at the festival farm. Until then, be safe and be well.
Sincerely,
Cindy McSurely, Executive Director

Dear Friends,
We know you may be wondering about the status of this year’s festival. After thoughtful consideration and with a heavy heart, we have decided to cancel the annual Blissfest Music Festival. This was a unanimous decision by the Blissfest Board of Directors and Staff. We could not proceed with this year’s event in good conscience. We are invested in being a good community partner, and will do our part.
We wish to do right by our Blissfest community, as well. We kindly ask that you consider helping us over this next year too. As you may know, the festival is our primary income stream and the funds raised support our year-round programs, as well as any improvements to our beautiful site. By donating a portion of your ticket or rolling over your reservation until 2021 you can make a difference. All contributions, no matter the size, are greatly appreciated and will have a tremendous positive impact on our organization. Full information and instructions for donations, rollovers, and refunds can be found on our website. Please respond by June 30th for any refund requests.
We will miss your smiles. We will miss seeing you dance, sing and enjoy yourselves on our festival farm. Blissfest will be here, and we can wait one year until we meet again. We will look forward to celebrating with you then. Please save the dates of July 9 -11, 2021 for us. You should know that many of the artists we had booked are on board for 2021, it will be an awesome lineup! In the meantime, be safe, be kind, and carry your Bliss with you.
Sincerely,
Cindy McSurely, Executive Director

Like all of you, we have been monitoring the situation. The primary concern of the BMO is the safety and well-being of our members, patrons, artists, neighbors, staff, and service providers. In response to the recommendations and mandates from the CDC and other governmental agencies, we are canceling or rescheduling all of our spring events and outreach activities to later in the year. We have also canceled all in-person committee and board meetings and are handling our on-going business via video/teleconferences or with email.
Knowing the future may be fluid we are continuing with our plans for the 40th Blissfest Music Festival. However, we assure you that we are also concurrently developing contingency plans for various scenarios that may exist come festival time, which is currently 4 months away. It is impossible for us to know what the future will bring. If the festival was next month, the actions we would need to take would be crystal clear. However, with 115 days in front of us, our decision today is to go forth and continue to make appropriate adjustments to our plans, policies and operating procedures as the situation evolves.
We want you to know that we care and are staying informed. We want you to take care of yourselves, wash your hands and stay home for the time being. We encourage you to stream, purchase and support our musicians, many of whom have been moving to online performances as their gigs and tours have been interrupted. You will find the current festival information on our website, and we will stay in touch with updates as they arise.
