Your Questions, Answered!
ARE FIRES PERMITTED?
No ground fires, open flames, or charcoal appliances are permitted. Bottled gas or white gas units may be used but supervision is required. Blissfest maintains a fire at the Drum Kiva.
IS CAMPING INCLUDED WITH YOUR WRISTBAND?
Yes, but each vehicle must have an area-specific parking pass. Only weekend wristband holders are invited to camp.
ARE THERE DESIGNATED CAMPSITES?
Yes, reserved campsites are clearly numbered. Walk-in campsites are "group camping" style.
HOW DO I RESERVE A CAMPSITE?
The deadline for campsite renewals is March 3rd. New member and coordinator reservations open March 10th. New reservations open to the public on March 17th (based on availability).
ARE THERE RV HOOKUPS?
NO, Blissfest has no RV hookups or water fill ups. Camping is rustic. Portable toilets, hand washing stations, recycling, compost, trash barrels, solar showers and potable fresh water are provided.
ARE GENERATORS ALLOWED?
NO, generators are not allowed.
IS THERE A WATER SUPPLY?
There is drinking water available throughout the campground and concert areas. Blissfest has great water that comes from our 250' deep well. No need to bring bottled water, just a bottle!
WHAT TYPE OF THINGS SHOULD I PLAN ON BRINGING TO BLISSFEST?
It is a good idea to make a packing list. Bring items you would normally take on a weekend camping trip. There is not much shade at the Main Stage concert area, so be prepared to protect yourselves and your young ones from the sun and dehydration. Pack sunscreen, basic first aid supplies, food, beverages, snacks, towels, blankets, short chairs for stage watching, sun hats, rain gear, and warm clothing. Be prepared for unpredictable Northern Michigan weather. A good tent and sleeping gear is a must if you are camping. Please do not bring things of value! Blissfest is not responsible for lost items.
WHAT IF I WANT TO TAKE A SHOWER?
Solar showers are available for use. They are separated into male and female sections but do not have individual stalls. We recommend wearing a bathing suit and flip-flops (the floor is cement).
IS THERE ANYWHERE TO SWIM? IS THERE A BEACH SHUTTLE?
Yes, there is a shuttle that runs to Sturgeon Bay at various times throughout the weekend. You are also welcome to drive there on your own.
WHERE SHOULD I CAMP IF I WANT A QUIETER ATMOSPHERE AFTER HOURS?
It is not possible to find an absolutely quiet spot. East 40 camping is the darkest and quietest.
CAN I CAMP NEXT TO MY CAR?
Yes, if you purchase an East 40 parking pass -or- Reserve a Campsite AND have a weekend wristband.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO CAMP PER PERSON?
First come, first served camping is included in the price of your Parking Pass. There is no per person charge for camping. Carpooling is encouraged!
CAN I CAMP WITH A DAY PASS?
No. You must purchase a weekend wristband to camp or park overnight.
IF I AM UNDER 18, DO I HAVE TO CAMP WITH MY PARENTS OR GUARDIAN?
Yes! No exceptions!
WHAT IF I CAN'T GET TO BLISSFEST UNTIL LATE AT NIGHT?
You MUST arrive while the gate is open to enter the Festival Grounds. You may leave at any time. Gate Hours:
FRIDAY | 9 AM - 11 PM
SATURDAY | 9 AM - 11 PM
SUNDAY |9 AM - 10 PM
DO YOU PROVIDE ACCESSIBLE CAMPING?
Yes, with a valid state-issued permit. Please contact Blissfest for more information.
WHAT TIME DO WE NEED TO LEAVE ON MONDAY?
