VENDOR EXPECTATIONS
- Booth payment is due within two weeks of acceptance. If we do not hear from you, we will move on to waitlisted applicants.
- You must apply for a vending permit prior to the event by contacting the Health Department of Northwest Michigan.
- Each vendor has its own electrical box with a variety of plug-ins to choose from. Bring adapters. You may not plug into any other vendor’s power box without their permission.
- SO molded and grounded 12 gauge extension cords are the minimum requirement. The Emmet County electrical inspector will be on-site monitoring and enforcing compliance.
- The Fire Department will inspect fire extinguishers and propane tanks on-site. A #10 ABC extinguisher is the minimum requirement. Propane tanks can not be free-standing. A t-post with a chain will work in a pinch.
- Prices for all items must be posted where customers can easily see them.
- You are expected to thoroughly clean your area prior to vacating your spot. This includes compost, recyclables, paper, cigarette butts, can tabs, and all concession materials. We suggest you bring a leaf rake.
- Recycling cardboard, glass, plastic, cooking oil, compost, and metal is mandatory.
- Your seamless cooperation will be evaluated by festival staff and will be considered alongside future applications.
- Blissfest sells ice cream as a fundraiser and we require approval of any ice cream-related items prior to arrival.
- Blissfest also sells ice. You can pick up your own at the ice concession. There are several ice delivery opportunities throughout the weekend.
- Donations of meals for our raffle are encouraged as well as placing an ad in our festival program. These are two ways to get your message to the festival attendees.
- Blissfest provides food vouchers to some musicians and contractors and will reimburse food vendors at checkout.
GOING GREEN!
- Blissfest promotes Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
- We have a robust composting program and STRONGLY ENCOURAGE food vendors to contribute to the compost bin. Our own hospitality area will be using composting dinnerware, and we ask you to do so, too!
- Vendors are REQUIRED to use the recycling facilities located behind the food area and must dispose of cooking oil properly.
- We PROHIBIT food vendors from selling bottled water. Blissfest has an excellent well water distribution system which includes fill-up locations in the concert and vending areas. Reusable water bottles are available at the Blissfest Store.
- NO STYROFOAM - PERIOD.
