Please add a brief bio of your relevant experience:
My educational background is in physics, and I’m employed in management position for a large corporation - I am a problem solver who’s good at finding and applying efficient solutions to processes. I strive to go above and beyond in all of my endeavors, and am highly effective both in leadership roles and in group decision-making processes.
I have 20+ years of experience in the title insurance industry as a title Abstractor/Examiner. Currently my role requires frequent interaction with attorneys, lenders, and our underwriters. I am very familiar and comfortable with reading and interpreting legal documents. In addition, the company I work for has worked closely with Legacy Land Conservancy and local municipalities in insuring Conservation Easements.
I’ve also taught both physics and mathematics to college students as an adjunct instructor - so I’m able to convey difficult subject matter in a way that’s accessible to a larger audience, and I’m comfortable with preparing, organizing and leading a presentation or discussion in front of a group.
Why are you interested in serving on the Blissfest Board?
The first time I went to Bliss, way back in 2009, I knew I was home. Every year since then I’ve made the annual trek up with my chosen family, to spend our favorite weekend of the year in our favorite place. I would absolutely love to be able to participate in the organization of the annual festival and Blissfest’s overall mission, and to be able to give back to something that’s brought me so much joy and that’s become such an important part of my life.
What do you see as your most valuable contribution to Blissfest?
I’m passionate about education, land conservation, music, and Blissfest!
What do you see as challenges and opportunities for us in the next few years?
I imagine that our country’s current administration and political divisiveness both have potential to pose many complications for any non-profit, but especially for an inclusove organization like BMO.
I’m also aware of the ongoing issues that BMO has had with the surrounding township in regards to ticket sales quantity and festival weekend, and I expect that there’s continued potential for issues to arise.
Please provide more details about your nonprofit or board experience such as the organization’s size or other roles not listed above.
While I have not formally volunteered for a non-profit organization in the past, I do believe strongly in service and being part of the change that you want to see in the world.
Skills and Expertise you will contribute to the Board of Directors, Blissfest Music Organization and Committees you serve.

Please describe your level of comfort or experience with the expectations of the organization: including any concerns or potential conflicts with this time commitment?
I live in SE Michigan, so I can foresee having difficulties making it to monthly meetings in inclement weather. That said, I’m able to work remotely and have friends who live nearby, so I anticipate being able to resolve difficulties in this area..
