Winter Solstice Gathering

An annual favorite, the Winter Solstice is about as close to “halfway to Bliss” as we can get! The evening is a special time to gather and get a mid-year dose of our favorite festival feelings. Celebrate the season in song, community, and fun!

Join us for this annual celebration of the return of the light featuring multiple musical performances, a lively raffle, spirited beverages, and seasonal merriment. This year we present two groovy acts sure to get you dancing!

Armchair Boogie

Hailing from Madison, Wisconsin, Armchair Boogie is a nationally touring newgrass act whose unbounded original sound ranges from lightning-fast bluegrass to fiery funk to soulful folk and more. Their unique lineup features drums and electric bass backing acoustic guitar and banjo. Pair that with powerful harmonies, timeless originals, and choice covers, and you have yourself unforgettable live performances and diverse studio albums. Jamgrass, newgrass, funkgrass, whatever you want to call it— Armchair Boogie is rapidly becoming one of the country’s hottest acts.

Dig-a-Pony

We’re thrilled to present Dig a Pony: A Beatles Tribute. Northern Michigan musicians Chris Michels, Leif Owen, Jakey Thomas, Alex Reisenbeck, and Ben Davila join forces to create a Beatles-tribute band that covers the entire span of the band’s career.

HOST: Jakey T

Jakey T is an entertainer from Marquette. He is known for his captivating stage presence and clever earworm songs. He plays with the edgy pop group Distant Stars, local hard rockers Rodeo, a Beatles tribute called Dig A Pony, and solo. Jakey’s newest single “Quarter Life Christmas” is all about the fleeting Christmas spirit one feels as one goes through their 20s and 30s - a modern take with the classic Christmas song vibe.
